Franc Weerwind, Democrats 66's politician and the Minister for Legal Protection, noted that the need for changes became obvious after the country’s KSA regulator presented its report. The Minister works on adapting standards to the needs of the market participants and introducing extra rules. He will deliver new norms for consideration at the beginning of 2024. Many queries were related to the protection of risk player groups. The spokesperson mentioned that 45,787 gamblers registered in the country’s Cruks self-exclusion program in the middle of Summer. A whopping 23% of those people were younger than 25. Thus, the scheme’s awareness needs to be increased.
Operators also want to see alterations to the current regulation. They request clarification of some norms and an equal business environment so that everyone can follow the same requirements.
