The Iowa state government is postponing the granting of licences to gambling companies. In addition, they tend to legalise cashless games.
A majority of votes in the decisive structures voted in favour of the initiative. This leads to restrictions on the issuance of work permits for casinos from June 1, 2022, to June 30, 2024.
Based on the testimony of Bobby Kaufmann, the head of the Iowa House State Government Committee, these measures were introduced to maintain the existing balance in the state. So that the new operators do not deprive the profits of the established gambling enterprises.
