Konami Holding announced an increase in Q2 proceeds for their gaming technologies by 22%, resulting in overall revenue of more than $ 53 million.
The brand’s facilities in Australia and North America resumed functioning at pre-lockdown levels, largely compensating for other areas that are still subject to limitations.
According to the company, the market is stabilising. The slot machines segment has performed successfully, and new game material has enhanced consumption.
The business entered the video lottery terminal (VLT) sector in New York in the 2nd trimester. The group also announced intentions to give Native American tribes access to Class II gaming equipment.
The SYNKROS casino management system will reportedly be installed further by Konami throughout North America.
The company stated that a lot of requests for slot machine cabinets have been obtained against the backdrop of brisk market activity. Supplies are planned for the second quarter and well beyond.
The business also acknowledged that delays in deliveries and higher part costs were a result of global supply chain issues. Konami's turnover from this sector dropped by 10% as a consequence.
Overall, the brand made approximately $ 532 million in revenue during the 2nd trimester, with Gaming & Systems accounting for 11% of that total. After Digital Entertainment, which provided more than $ 376 million for the second quarter, and Sports, which generated nearly $ 81,5 million, this is the company's third-largest vertical.
Except for Amusement, which witnessed a revenue decline of almost $ 5,2 million, every segment showed a rise in top-line profit for Q2. Meanwhile, Konami's entire second-quarter earnings were approximately $ 84,4 million, down 16% from the prior year.
