According to Lithuania’s LPT, general gross gaming revenue in the country for H1 2026 totalled €153.6 million, up from €131.5 million for the same period in 2025. This figure represents a 16.81% YoY jump.

According to the supervisory authority, the remote segment primarily drove this positive trend. The vertical’s share accounted for about 78% of the overall market.
The regulator defines GGR as all wagers minus customer rewards. Gross gain for remote operators reached €119.9 million. This result represents a 25% surge from 2025. By comparison, land-based gaming establishments earned €33.7 million, down 5% YoY.
Remote subcategories demonstrated different results:
Industry analysts also noted a decrease in the overall number of gaming equipment and establishments nationwide. Nevertheless, they confirmed the drop was relatively small.
The lottery segment, with 2 private enterprises as of June 30th, 2026, went on an upward trajectory:
Contributions to the state budget from both gaming and raffles were 11.4% higher than the previous year. The total fiscal investment reached €46.43 million.
The revenue breakdown showed that €30.67 million came from casinos and similar facilities. Meanwhile, lotteries generated €15.76 million. At the time of report publication, 12 closed joint-stock enterprises held gambling licences in Lithuania.
Amid the continued industry expansion, the regulatory body is preparing additional control tools. Earlier in 2026, the local Ministry of Finance’s proposal sparked discussion about implementing cards for players across both internet and land-based gaming businesses.
The system is expected to take effect on January 1st, 2029. Each user will need a physical identifier, enabling government agencies to track their activity across operator projects. Particular attention will be given to financial transactions, including deposits and winnings.
H1 2026's results confirm the national industry’s continued shift toward remote content. It already accounts for almost 4/5 of total GGR, while the traditional on-site sector continues to decline gradually.
