Pennsylvania’s operators have gained a record $6.39 billion in gambling revenues for the 2024/25 fiscal year, up 8.6% YoY. The online casino segment became the main driver of growth, increasing earnings by 27%.
According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s report, taxes totalled $2.8 billion, up 10% from last year.
Internet gambling revenue reached $2.48 billion, up from $1.95 billion last year. Among the leaders were:
Wind Creek Bethlehem generated $18.1 million (-20.6%), which turned out to be the weakest figure of the year. Mount Airy Casino Resort, operating PokerStars, is also worth mentioning — $42.6 million (-7.9%). After refusing to participate in the launch of an interstate card game in April, the iGaming platform lost some players and revenue.
The total betting volume increased by 7%, reaching $8.72 billion. Nevertheless, profits remained almost unchanged, accounting for $487.6 million (+0.2% YoY). Over 94% of the turnover came from gamblers using mobile wagering applications. Tax deductions from bookmakers amounted to $175.6 million, which is $436,000 more than a year earlier.
The list of the vertical’s leaders includes FanDuel with $250.3 million (+0.37%) and DraftKings with $131.2 million (-4.34%).
Experts believe that the increase in player activity amid stable earnings indicates a decline in the margins of niche operators due to aggressive promotions and large payments to customers.
Despite the growth of the internet segment and the rise of unregulated skill-based machines, offline gambling venues hold their positions.

Harrah’s Philadelphia saw the most significant decrease in gain to $105 million (-4.4%).
Table gaming saw a decline to $928.9 million (-3%). Valley Forge Casino Resort performed the best with a revenue uplift of 10.3%. Hollywood Casino Morgantown secured a similar result with a jump of 10.1%. Other brands had either not that significant figures or even substantial losses up to -22.2%.
VGT profits increased slightly to $41.4 million (+0.7%). They are currently installed at 75 points (a year ago, this number was 74). Fantasy contests experienced a 0.7% YoY decline to $19.1 million.
