The UKGC has published the latest results of its annual domestic gambling market review (GSGB).
The study included data from January 15th to April 28th, 2024. According to the report, the local population’s RMG activity remained almost at the same level as in 2023.
The participation rate in the latest sample increased by 8% to 5,191 people. A similar campaign last year surveyed 4,801 residents.
Only 48% of respondents were regular customers of gambling platforms. Excluding lotteries, the number drops to 28%. Also, 16% visited entertainment websites at least once in the last 4 weeks.

The highest participation rate in amusement sessions via desktop and mobile casino services (29%) was recorded among male citizens aged 35−44.
The number of visitors to land-based gambling venues in the country remained at last year’s level and amounted to 29% of all involved in the study.

The lottery business accounted for 32% of active participants from all demographic groups. Sports betting attracts 9% of the population, which is 1% lower than last year.

Around 5% of participants were interested in digital and ground slots, while 3% preferred other casino content. Charity draws gained the attention of 16%.
