In February 2022, a large and important event in the betting industry is expected to take place. The Eventus International organisation is getting ready for the annual BiG Africa Summit to happen for the eighth time. Business representatives from all around the world are supposed to take part in this highly-awaited conference.
The African gambling market has been stale for many years, yet recently, the industry is once again establishing itself firmly on the continent. Many new locally-based gambling developers and casino businesses are emerging and making a name for themselves not only in Africa but also overseas. Event Dates
Initially, the event was supposed to take place earlier than February. However, the organising team made a decision to give a few countries some time until the quarantine limitations are lowered and they are safely able to go to South Africa. This means that the official dates of the global meeting are February 8th and 9th, 2022.
Due to some regulations, both international and local flights in South Africa, including travels to the country and away from it, are currently restricted in light of new coronavirus outbreaks. For this reason, the dates were adjusted to February, since the organisers believed this would easily bring more visitors from all around the world.
Location
For the summit, a suitable location was chosen. It will take place at Johannesburg’s luxurious Emperor’s Palace resort. In the past, this place often hosted casino-themed meetings and conferences. There are hopes of including some of the budding businesses and providing plenty of networking connections. Additionally, the participants will be able to exchange their knowledge and experience.
Expectations
Due to the conference taking place in Africa, the organisers hope that it will be a new beginning for the gambling industry’s growth on the mainland. A large reason for this is the fact that many operators and game developers will get to know each other during the event. It will strengthen their connections with existing collaborators, which could result in potentially great things.
